The timeline depends on the size and condition of your furniture, as well as the type of finish you're looking for. Small pieces like chairs typically take 1-2 weeks, while larger items like dining tables or complete bedroom sets may take 2-4 weeks. During your initial consultation, we'll provide a more specific timeline based on your project.
Pricing varies based on the piece(s), current condition, and desired finish. Our cabinet refinishing starts at $2,500 for kitchens, dining sets from $800, and antique restoration from $1,200. We provide free estimates after assessing your furniture, so you'll know the exact cost before any work begins.
Yes! We have experience with color matching and can often replicate existing finishes. Bring in a sample or photo during your consultation, and we'll discuss the options. For exact matches, we may need to create a custom stain or paint mix, which we'll test on a small hidden area first.
Refinishing restores your existing furniture by removing the old finish and applying a new one. It's typically 30-50% the cost of replacement and is more environmentally friendly. Additionally, older furniture was often built with higher-quality wood and craftsmanship that you won't find in modern mass-produced pieces.
We ask that you clear the furniture of personal items and provide access to the piece(s). Otherwise, we handle everything from assessment to transportation (if using our delivery service). We'll discuss any specific preparations during your consultation.
We work on virtually all types of wooden furniture including dining tables, chairs, cabinets, bedroom sets, desks, bookshelves, and antiques. We also specialize in kitchen and bathroom cabinet refinishing. If you have a unique piece, feel free to ask us about it during your consultation.
We recommend using mild soap and water for cleaning, avoiding harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners. Use coasters under drinks and placemats for dining tables. Avoid placing furniture in direct sunlight to prevent fading. We'll provide specific care instructions for your finish type when the project is complete.
We primarily serve Clinton, Missoula, Helena, and the surrounding areas in Western Montana. We're happy to discuss larger projects outside our primary service area - contact us to see if we can help with your project.
